Studying Abroad is the opportunity to engage in educational experiences outside the US allowing students to explore diversity on many levels; educational systems and pedagogies, culture and languages. Students from a variety of disciplines study in programs of varying lengths from one week to full year. Credits are designed to work toward graduation requirements.

Study Abroad requires work outside of our traditional classroom. Students are immersed in different cultures, have interactive experiences with peers, faculty and hosts in new environments.
International Education has a variety of scholarships for Buffalo State students. SUNY offers a Diversity Honors Study Abroad Scholarship. Students receiving Pell grants are should apply for that Federal Benjamin A Gillman Scholarship.
