Buffalo State is committed to providing students with opportunities for highly-impactful learning. The Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) has identified a number of high-impact learning practices (e.g., undergraduate research, collaborative assignments, learning communities, service learning, study abroad, freshman seminars). Each of these learning practices involve a significant investment of student effort over time with multiple interactions between faculty, students, and/or relevant community parties about substantive matters as well as frequent, constructive feedback from faculty, and regular, structured processes for reflection and integration. In order to support faculty, we've developed resources to help faculty provide students with highly impactful learning experiences. The T & L Center offered two-day mini-conferences in June 2017 and June 2018. Those materials have been distiled into a short video series with corresponding worksheets and print resources. Buffalo State faculty can access those materials here.
